4th July Weekend and Renaissance Fair

JULY 4th

For the 4th of July this year we went up to the cabin in Duck Creek. I was kind of bummed out that I was going to miss the parade in town Saturday morning. We went to the cabin on Friday and came home Sunday. We went for a four wheeler ride Saturday evening and found out that they were doing a parade through Duck Creek Village at 7:30 that evening. We parked our wheeler and I got to watch the parade. Why I was excited was because Wyatt hates parades and he sat with me and watched it. Here are some pics.


These guys had 5 boxers. I was jealous. There is a white boxer in the drivers lap. I wasn't ready with my camera when they drove by. So that's why you don't get to see him.

Renaissance Fair

This week and weekend is the Renaissance fair and the July Jamboree. Mary(boss) and I went to the fair to get lunch today. This is the third year we have done this. We go to the park and look at all vendors and then we get lunch there. The last two years there hasn't been that many vendors. Mary had her camera and I took a few pictures.

I didn't understand the tail thing. A lot of the vendors had tails. I guess I should have asked what the story is behind the tails. There is always next year.

Girls night and B-day Breakfast

Some of my friends are home visiting for the summer. We had girls night on July 1. Jenny, Rachel and Ann were in town. Ann is staying until August. We met up at Sarah's house. Thank you Sarah for letting us come to your house. Sarah, I love you! On Friday the 3rd, we did birthday breakfast for the girls b-days in July. We have been doing birthday breakfast's since we were 16 years old. I'm glad that we are still doing them. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Camie, Jenny and Ann. Krystal was in town with her new baby boy and made it to breakfast. It was so fun having almost everyone together. Such good times.

Snip, Snip, Snippidy

Yup, I finally got the guts to cut my hair off. I've been telling Adrian(she's my stylist and sister) for the past few months that she can cut my hair and then when I go in I tell her just a trim. So I went in Thursday night and brought some pictures for ideas and she was like are you're sure? I told if we talked about it, then I would change my mind. I told her just to do it. It turned out really cute. She did a great job. I didn't do any pink this time. I think pink looks better in long hair. Wyatt really likes my hair too. I'm not sure how much hair I cut. I think it was between 8-10 inches. I didn't donate it to a hair place like Locks of Love because the ends were pretty scrappy. Maybe when it's long again and I healthier I will donate it. Lake Powell Trip

We went to Lake Powell on Friday the 26th through the 28th. On Friday it rained and the wind blew for about 2 hours. Nothing sucks more at the lake then wind and holding onto your tent. After that the weather was beautiful. We went wake boarding and tubing. Nick pulled me and Adrian around on the tube. Somehow we managed to catch us in some major waves and we shot up in the air about 10-15 feet and then body slapped the water. We both came up choking on water, having water run out of our noses and almost in tears. We were not amused, but everybody in the boat was laughing. The inside of my thigh is bruised from hitting the water so hard. It was my Dad's birthday on Sunday. We usually go to the lake for his birthday. He brought some Roman candles and we shot them over the water. The trip went by so fast. I hope we get to go again this summer.
