It's official

Before I go into the official story, I decide that for Fridays from now on I will try to do either Funny Friday or Flashback Friday. Today I am doing Funny Friday. The two comics below fall under this category.

Wyatt and I are starting a family. I have been off birth control for a month now. We are in no rush. We are sticking to our normal routine and when it happens, it happens. He didn't think I was serious this time. Here is the story why he didn't take me serious. I was supposed to go off birth control last June. I panicked... bad. I thought I was ready and I got down to a week left of pills. We were driving to Wyatt's softball game. I told him I had a week left. Then I started crying. Why, I don't know. I told him I couldn't do it. He was so nice to me about it. He told me it was ok. I felt so guilty. Wyatt will be 34 in June. He has wanted a baby for a while. When we got married I told him I at least wanted 2 years of just me and him and he agreed. We will be married for 4 years in June. It's been nice just me, him and the dogs. If you don't know me by now, you should know my dogs are my babies and will always be.
I'm excited and nervous and so is Wyatt. We know the dogs will be good with a baby. They love kids. I might have to do some one on one time with Bugsy. He really is sensitive. I have been buying things here and there for the past couple of years for the baby's room. I'm doing a jungle theme. I bought a really cute kids lion rug at Costco in December. I brought it home and showed Wyatt. I told him it was for the baby. He said "What, the imaginary baby?" I told him yes.
Wyatt now is glad that I am serious this time. Now the things I buy for the baby, we don't refer to it as the imaginary baby.

Stupid eyes!!!

So lately as I've been driving I have noticed my eyes are getting worse. Who knew they could get worse. I had lasik done over four years ago. It last a little over a year. When I went in and said I couldn't see certain things like I could before they had me do the eye test and my eyes have receded back to what they were before the surgery. Out of my left eye I can see the second line of the eye test which is just two letters. I was mad and they told me since it was over a year I would have to pay again to have the lasik done again at half price. WTF!! Before this I had gone in before it had been a year. The doctor said my eyes were receding, but I could still see better then 20/20. Now I am going blinder. AGHHH!! I decide I am going to get it done after I have a baby and go to a doctor who does a life time guarantee. I also have other eye issues. When I switched over to contacts I started out with hard then moved on to soft. About a month after switching to soft my eyes were always red and sore. I go to the doctor and I find out that I am allergic to the soft contacts and that I have damaged my eyelid tissue beyond repair. So now my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight and certain light bulbs. And because of the lasik, at night with headlights, I get the halo affect. I just want to scratch someones eyes out, including my own. Now I just need to do research on some good lasik doctors and for the mean time go get a stronger eye glasses prescription.
I saw this comic and this is what I want to do to the doctor.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!

I'm usually bad about posting birthdays. Since it is my mom, I thought I better make sure I did hers. She is the best mom ever. Seriously, she is. Here is why.
I don't know what I would do with out her. I think we have grown closer since I moved back from college years ago. I must say, that she is one of my closes friends. I'm so lucky that we have a relationship that I can be open with her and talk to her about anything. I think she is beautiful not just on the outside, but on the inside too. I love her hugs. I always feel better when she has her arms wrapped around me. I am so blessed that I live only five minutes from her. I love the way she smells. I don't mean like a perfume, but a mom smell. Like when I hug her and I take a deep breath and I feel at home and at peace. I don't know if I can explain it. She has a very big heart. She puts up with my dogs, who love the crap out of her. She is really smart. I wish I inherited her hand writing. Be glad that I am typing. I have the worst handwriting for a girl. She puts up with me and my siblings. We still rough house when we get together. There is just something about going to my moms with my brother and sister that bring out the inner child in us. She is fun at the lake and on trips. When we went on our cruise last year she went snorkeling with me. She makes one mean souffle. I still haven't mastered it yet. She loves animals. I love playing games with her like phase 10 and dominoes. She is very very crafty. When we paint I do the basics and then hand it over to her to do the details. She is very good. One day I will post some of the things she has done. I wish I inherited that skill too. She always helps me when I need it. There is just so much to her that I love. She loves her grand kids very much. It's been about a year, but I was over at her house with the rest of the family and she was talking about her living will. I told her I was going to keep her forever. She told me she knew that. I love snuggling with her. She gets me and understands my sense of humor and I like hers. Here are some pictures of her.

Some of my best memories are of the lake.

We usually get our pictures together at the 4th of July parade

The baa, baa, baa's

Yes, the sheep are back. They've been back for a couple of weeks now. They are out frolicking about in the area where I live. I get to smell them everyday. Yeah for me! Where I live the wind blows almost every day and it carries that lovely smell right to me. I think it is the worst in the afternoon. I don't really smell them in the morning. Don't get me wrong, I love sheep. I always wanted to get a lamb and name him mutton.
He would be my pet. My little obsession started when I would go over to my friend Camie's house. Her mom had a stuff toy sheep. I really liked it. I just liked petting it. Well my friend Brit got me the cutest stuffed toy lamb for my birthday years ago. I still have it. It is sitting on my Easter shelf right now. Wyatt tells me if we were to ever get a lamb it would be to eat. I told him there is no way I would do that. I have eaten mutton before and I do like it, but I could never raise a lamb and love him and then eat him. Even when I do eat mutton, I try not to think about what it is. I wish I was able to share the smell with you. I just know you all would love it.
